What size should I order?
Beanies and headbands come in Baby, Toddler, Kid, Adult, and Adult Large. Not sure which to pick? Check the Size Guide — it shows how to measure your head for the perfect fit. Between sizes? Size up for a comfier, slouchier feel.
How long will my order take?
Since every piece is made just for you, please allow up to six weeks for it to be made and delivered — though it’s often sooner!
What are they made of? Is the wool itchy?
100% merino wool — soft, warm, and cozy. I pick out the yarn myself from my local yarn store, and it’s all hand-dyed. And don’t worry, it’s not scratchy: merino is much finer and softer than regular wool, so it feels smooth against your skin. It’s one of the comfiest wools you can wear. Every one is knit in two warm layers, so it’s extra cozy and keeps its shape.
How do I care for my beanie or headband?
Machine wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle, then lay it flat to dry — never the dryer! Cared for that way, it’ll keep its shape. Wool naturally relaxes a little as you wear it and molds to your head, so if it feels snug at first, it’ll settle in just right.
What colors and options can I choose?
Right now I have Blue Jean (a deep denim blue), Cloud Sunshine (a soft purple), Cereza (a rich, deep cherry red), and Lotus (a dreamy blend of soft pink and sky blue), with more colors coming soon — hoping for a certain color? Let me know when you order and I’ll see what I can do. You can also add a fluffy pom-pom to any beanie for just $2 — choose “With pom-pom” when you order. Want a two-tone beanie? You can also make it reversible by picking a second color when you order — no extra charge!
Can I order one as a gift?
Absolutely — they make such a cozy gift! Just remember each one is made to order, so plan for up to six weeks. If it’s for a birthday or holiday, order early and let me know the date.
How do I pay, and how do I get my order?
You can pay securely by credit or debit card right here at checkout. When your order is ready, I’ll ship it to you — a flat $6 anywhere in the US, or free on orders over $100 — or you can choose free local pickup here in Englewood, Colorado. (Payments run through my sister business, so the charge shows up as “OIKOS COFFEE” on your statement.)
Can I return or exchange it?
If it isn’t right, you can return it unworn and unwashed within 14 days for a refund or exchange. Just cover the return shipping and reach out to get started — and if something arrived damaged or wrong, let me know and I’ll make it right.
